This ongoing publishing job has been evolving since it all began in 2013. It is so dear to my hear because I could honestly say that this is where it all began. The work that I did for the church fueled my desire to seek a degree in graphic design. I went from teaching myself Microsoft Publisher to learning Adobe Creative Suite.
I was assigned the task of making 4 production runs of a seasonal missalette: Easter, Ordinary Time, Advent, and Lent. This animated timeline of design work showcases the many cover designs, but it also shows how I improved as time went by. The thumbnail above reveals the switch after I enrolled into college.
In an attempt to reduce time and cost, I approached the Presiding Bishop, Todd Bell with the idea of creating two separate missalettes: one for Sunday scriptures (Advent and Ordinary Time), the other Liturgy and Music. Indeed it has saved time and money for the church.
